5 Best Tradify Alternatives for UK Trades in 2026

A researched guide to Tradify alternatives for UK trades, with current pricing, honest trade-offs and clear recommendations for sole traders and teams.

The best Tradify alternative depends on what you actually use Tradify for. If your week revolves around scheduling staff, timesheets, job costing and purchase orders, replace it with another full job-management platform. If you mainly open it to prepare quotes and invoices, a smaller quote-first product may cost less and take less setting up.

For most UK sole traders who want the second option, QuickPrice is the strongest fit. It starts free and turns a typed description, voice note, photos or a video walkthrough into an itemised quote. ServiceM8 is the better first stop for teams that still need a scheduler. Fergus is the better fit when job profitability and supplier costs are the main issue.

Tradify pricing and the reason to compare

Tradify is a broad product. Its UK Lite plan is £34 per user per month, Pro is £37 and Plus is £44. Lite includes job tracking, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, payments and accounting sync. Pro adds features such as custom branding, recurring jobs, quote options, reminders, costing, timesheets and subcontractor scheduling. Plus adds purchase orders, compliance certificates, service reminders and more of Tradify's AI tools.

That breadth is valuable when the whole business works in the system. The per-user model is less attractive when an apprentice, engineer and office administrator all need access, or when the owner only wants to get professional quotes out quickly. Three Pro users cost £111 each month before optional extras. That does not make Tradify overpriced. It means the value depends heavily on whether you use the operational tools.

The practical answer

Keep Tradify if your team already relies on its scheduler, job records, timesheets, purchase orders and accounting workflow. Moving only to save a few pounds can create more admin than it removes.

Switch if per-user cost is growing faster than the value you get, quoting still takes too long, or you are maintaining a full job system to solve a much narrower quotes-and-invoices problem.

1. QuickPrice: best when quoting is the real bottleneck

QuickPrice is narrower than Tradify. It does not currently schedule a crew, record timesheets, create purchase orders or sync to accounting software. That is precisely why it suits a sole trader or small firm that never got much value from those parts of Tradify.

You describe a job using text, voice, photos or video. QuickPrice builds an editable quote with labour, materials and VAT, then produces a branded PDF and customer link. The customer can accept online. You can see when the quote has been viewed, follow up automatically and turn an accepted quote into an invoice. Its UK pricing engine and regional labour rates reduce the amount of price-book setup needed before the first quote.

QuickPrice can also place a quote-request form on a trade website. Each submission arrives as a lead, triggers push and email alerts, and carries the customer details, job description, approximate area and photos into the quote flow. This is website lead capture, not appointment booking or scheduling.

The free plan is useful for a genuine trial because it does not require a card. Starter is £8.99 per month, Pro is £14.99 and Advanced is £34.99, all including VAT. Read the direct QuickPrice versus Tradify comparison if you want a feature-by-feature view.

2. ServiceM8: best for scheduling without per-user pricing

ServiceM8 is the most interesting alternative when Tradify's per-seat bill is the problem but full field-service management is still needed. Paid UK plans allow unlimited users and charge according to monthly job volume. Starter is £25 for 50 new jobs, Growing is £59 for 150, Premium is £119 for 500 and Premium Plus is £269 for 1,500 or more. There is also a one-user Free plan for up to 30 jobs a month.

Scheduling, job cards, quotes, invoices, payments and accounting links are central to the product. The important device detail is easy to miss: ServiceM8 has native iOS and Android apps, but its iPhone and iPad app is the most feature-rich. ServiceM8 Lite on Android covers core field tasks. A mixed-phone team should check its required workflows during the trial, not assume the two apps are identical.

3. Fergus: best for firms that want tighter job costing

Fergus makes sense when the issue is not producing a quote but knowing whether the completed job made the margin you expected. Its UK product combines quoting, scheduling, job cards, timesheets, supplier invoice matching, job phases, invoicing and payments. It also connects to UK suppliers and accounting tools.

Standard public pricing starts at £39 per month for Essentials and £45 for Professional, with separate lower-cost timesheet users. The website showed a large introductory discount at the time of research. Check the renewal price and the number of full users you need before comparing totals. Fergus is a credible Tradify replacement for a growing team. It is more system than a quote-only sole trader needs.

4. Workever: best for asset and service-contract work

Workever is aimed at small and medium field-service businesses. Base is £29 per user per month and includes job management, scheduling, quotes, invoices, payments, mobile apps and accounting integrations. Ultimate is £39 per user and adds forms, stock, assets, service contracts, a customer portal, timesheets and expenses.

This is the practical shortlist choice for maintenance, facilities, cleaning, electrical or service companies that need recurring jobs and records attached to customer assets. For a two-person firm the maths is simple. Multiply the user price before comparing it with Tradify or a job-volume product such as ServiceM8.

5. Jobber: best for polished customer booking

Jobber covers client management, online requests and booking, scheduling, quotes, invoices and payments. Higher plans add automated follow-ups, QuickBooks and Xero sync, time and expense tracking, quote options, job costing and workflow automation. Its client hub and booking flow are strong reasons to trial it if homeowners book standard services through your website.

UK buyers need to account for US-dollar billing. The no-commitment Core price was US$49 per month when checked, with Connect at US$139, Grow at US$199 and Plus at US$499 for the displayed team configuration. Annual billing reduces those figures. Compare the feature tier you need, not the cheapest headline. Our QuickPrice versus Jobber guide explains the difference between quote-first and full field-service use.

How to choose without disrupting the business

  1. List the Tradify features used in the last 30 days. Ignore features you hoped to use but never did.
  2. Price the new tool for everyone who needs a login, including office staff and limited field users.
  3. Put the same recent job through two trials. Time the quote, schedule the visit if needed, issue the invoice and check what must be retyped.
  4. Export customers, price lists and documents before cancelling. Keep a read-only archive if the outgoing provider offers one.

A cheaper subscription is not a saving if it creates an hour of duplicate work every week. Equally, a capable all-in-one platform is poor value if the business only uses ten percent of it. Buy for the workflow you have.
